What I love about my body:
I love the way my body looks and feels in the buff. Standing in front of a mirror I see a body that Renoir would have loved to paint. I love the curves- it is like a hilly, mountain terrain. I love that this body has been through all it has. I love that it supported and birthed two beautiful, healthy, glorious human beings.
What I am not enjoying about this body:
Trying to stuff it into clothes that are not made for it. Pantyhose are torture devices in case you didn't know. THey just don't make clothes for short, round women.
Off to clean the living room while my mama folds laundry. The goal for today is to have it clean enough to support my collection of Christmas decorations.

Hi LB thanks for stopping by to visit me. I totally get what you said about short, round women-right there with you at 5'2" and some more poundage than I need to have.Spent my life on a diet and hungry-tired of it and trying to be happy with the way it is without too much damage. Really good to hear from you and Dave in the same week-Wahoo!
Yae!
Have you heard of India Aire? She is a wonderful musical artist whose music I had the great pleasure of being introduced to recently. Her cut of "Private Party" connects nicely with what you are saying. It's on her CD entitled: Testimony. Vol. 1, Life and relationships available at King County Library.
Trusting your Sunday afternoon was all that you wanted it to be, and Mom folded all the laundry her contented little heart wanted to!

It's no picnic for average height round women, either. :} My ass is currently the size of Texas. It's a shame that I couldn't have my boys AND stay the same size I was at 17.
Dee- I hear ya. Problem is,I really am doing some damage- eating an entire can of Almond Roca by myself in less than a week, for example! Sheesh. I tis great to see you blogging, though- I will be visiting daily, you can be sure.
Pamela- we had such a good time seeingyou yesterday, and yes, Mama had a great time, too. I also wanted to give you both our condolences yesterday for the loss of your friend.
KathyJo- I don't know- 190 lbs at 5 ft seems a great deal heavier to me than it does at 5 ft 6 or 7. I hear you though- I would like to go back to the age of 26, when I only wieghed 110 lbs, and thought I was overweight for heaven's sake!!

Hey sweetie! Spent many hours on the cell tonight getting the computer hooked back up. I got your message, but it was WAY too late to call. I will try to reach you later on this week, okay?
{{hugs}}
Still waiting to see some pictures... ;-)
