The Girl just came screaming into the house. Apparently Ida is back. And apparently, whatever scared her off ripped out every single tail feather but one on Virginia, one of the other hens. Man, this chicken keeping is stressful!

I'm glad to hear that Ida is back but oh I am so sorry about the lose of feathers. Thank God it's not winter she would freeze her little chicken butt off.
Yeah. I hear ya'. She looks bad. She is filthy for one thing, dirt everywhere. And the feathers she has left look bad.
On Virginia's tail, it looks just plain silly to have just one lone feather standing straight up.
I hope they are ok.
