This is a great view to show you where the roses will go. See that bit of grass? This is the only grass left in the front yard, and it will soon be replaced by lovely roses. Aahhh. Won't that be nice? Here is a shot of the front fence line. You can see that in this photo, the right side of the fence isn't up yet. It is almost all the way up now, only one more panel to go. The Dude has been traveling so much lately, he has to work on this is fits and starts, but I had to show you what wonderful work he has done so far.
Here is the driveway side. I am not sure if you can see parts of the treehouse if you enlarge this shot or not- let me know.
Just because I needed one more photo for this post, here is my icky front porch. One thing we want to do this year, is to frame it in, lose the window to the Girl's room, and build a coat closet on the end. The new front door will be just to the left of the post.
Ok, there you have it!

Y'know Needle (may I call you Needle?)I can see your front porch looking so neat--Here are my ideas
Add a lovely welcome mat
Add two shutters to that nice window (maybe in a colonial blue?)
Add a white porch rocker to where the boots are
Add a window box with Blue and white petunias (or coordinating color scheme with the shutters)
Add two hanging baskets of plants to the overhang.
There now, I feel better. Nothing like decorating someone else's house.
Is that ok? (big LOL!)
Thanks for the compliment about my blog. I've loved yours!
Chris, you are hilarious! Glad you stopped by!

Oh my gracious, does that look grand! You must be so proud. I bet you are the hit of the neighborhood. Just imagine when spring and summer garden abundance arrives? Oo la la!
Enjoy ~ and thanks for sharing.

Pamela,
About the neighbors- I do not think they truly know what to do with us- there were several who were astounded that we took out all the grass in the front yard- and then there are our Chinese Gramma and Grampa kitty-korner from us- they come over regularly and unannounced- we often see them touring the flower garden or picking plums from the tree in the backyard- they love it.
