Tidbit: Update from Stanford

I just talked to the Boy's S & D Coach, and she said he made it to the semi-finals, which means he was in the top 14, but he didn't make it to the finals. I cannot begin to tell you how proud we are of him- he had some really tough competition, and did really well. From what I hear, he was competing against college-aged "experts. I wasn't able to talk to the Boy himself, as Coach said his stomach wasn't feeling well, and he had gone straight to bed. I am sure he will call us tomorrow after he has had some rest. I wish Coach well, as she will have 6 kids to keep busy tomorrow until they fly home.

Tell him his auntie is proud too! Congratulations to making it that far with all that tough competition. LA

Woohoo!!! What an amazing being, having a terrific time showing up and being perfectly the FYM!

I am beaming inside and out for that sweet little boy I have always known was amazing. How grand that he is acquiring life experiences that celebrate him as well.

Thanks for sharing.

TODDLER BOOK RECCOMENDATION PLEASE

Hey!! I keep forgetting to ask you, so I am leaving a note here. Book recommendations for a 2 year old birthday gift? I am thinking I want to do books. I'm thinking A Porcupine Named Fluffy, Frog and Toad, Barnyard Dance and/or Dragon Snack Attack, but wanted to be sure you didn't have even better recollections from kiddle days and Toddler Play Dates. I'm thinking a couple of these may be too "mature" yet. We gave "Jellybean" Jamberry: from your kids childhood!, Is Your Mama a Llama and the black and white picture books previously.
I think she got Good night Moon from another special friend, and surely many others. Her parents
are fine human beings and appreciative of good books!

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Toodles,

P
